3/19/2003 – Robert War is upon us. Time has run out for Saddam Hussein. We'll probably begin bombing the shit out of Iraqi civilians soon. Will there ever be an end to the bloodshed? Since 9/11, we've seen the decline of the rights of US citizens, we've seen this country jail people without being charged or trial, we've seen this country detain "foreign combatants" without giving them any rights, a P.O.W. status. We've seen some of these combatants die from complications caused by "blunt injuries". Muslims in this country have been harassed, now it's about to get worse. Remember World War II? Japanese citizens were detained in camps, taken from their homes and jobs because the government said they might have possibly been spies, dangers to national security. We're slipping further and further into the horrors of the past. McCarthyism is already here. It's all going to get a lot worse from here. |
